Husband and wife Brent and Colleen Weaver came as missionaries to BMTS to teach and serve the churches.
Colleen, born into a Christian family, comes from the USA. She has served as a missionary with One Mission Society in Spain, Ukraine, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Haiti and now Estonia. She has been a children’s and family ministry leader, pastor, and lecturer.
Colleen has a PhD in Theology and will be teaching the following subjects with us this academic year: Spiritual Formation, Inductive Bible Study, and Walking Together: Pastoral Care in Difficult Times, as an open course.
Brent comes from New Zealand. He became active in Christian ministry already as a teenager. His longing was to help people learn new things about themselves, the world around them and about God. Brent has served as a missionary with One Mission Society for 25 years. Ten of which he served in Russia, where he was involved in helping teachers develop a Christian school curriculum, in church planting, and teaching English at the Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary. Thereafter he ministered in Ukraine teaching English and evangelizing the young people of Ukraine.
His connection to Estonia goes back 10 years to a series of training sessions. He led the seminar on developing small group work and church planting in South Estonia, Rapla and Tallinn.
Brent has a Master’s degree in Theological Studies and this year teaches two subjects, Church Growth and Planting, and Theology of Mission.
Brent and Colleen bring a whole new wealth of experience and knowledge to the Seminary. We are delighted that they have joined our faculty.
