Lent Bible reading and listening in online

Watch online event here:

Lent begins February 22nd. Lent is the 40-day period (not counting Sundays) leading up to Easter traditionally seen as a time of fasting and repentance. Lent, then, is a season whereby

Christians regretfully acknowledge their sinful, self-centered ways and change their direction toward the Person and ways of God.

As an outward sign of our communal desire to turn away from our personal and communal sin and toward God, the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary community will read through the entire New Testament and Psalms over the season of Lent. Each Wednesday from 10:30-14:00, alternating members of the community will chronologically read these scriptures in their mother tongue while being live-streamed.

We ask YOU as a member of the greater BMTS community to join us in this discipline by logging in

and reading scripture at the same time while also fasting from Wednesday’s lunch. Together, we will journey through Lent together looking to grow in our commitment to God!
