Seminar pakub head oikumeenilist atmosfääri ja kultuurilist mitmekesisust, sest siin õpivad erinevatest konfessioonidest ja erinevatest rahvustest üliõpilased. Akadeemilise õppe kõrval on suur osakaal erineva sisuga praktikal. Tähtsal kohal on üliõpilase isikliku vaimuliku kujunemise toetamine osadusgruppide ja ühise teenimise kaudu. Lisaks põhiõppejõududele õpetavad seminaris ka külalislektorid teistest kõrgkoolidest, esindades erinevate maade kristliku teenimise kogemuse ja teoloogilise mõtlemise mitmekesisust.
Meie lõpetajad töötavad:
Vaimulikena erinevates konfessioonides
Kaplanitena sõjaväes ja vanglates
Kutsetöötajatena mitmesugustes töövaldkondades ja kristlikes organisatsioonides (misjonitöö, laste- ja noortetöö, diakooniatöö, sotsiaaltöö, hingehoid jne).
Methodist-Related Theological Schools in Europe (MTSE) organized a conference in Rome in February 2017 titled „Being the Church in 21st Century Europe.
The picture shows participants of the panel discussion including our seminary president Meeli Tankler, and led by Dr Michael Nausner from Reutlingen School of Theology.
During the first first week in October, our seminary president Meeli Tankler participated at the Theology week in Reutlingen (Germany) that marked the beginning of the new study year in Reutlingen School of Theology. The theme of the theology week was „Living Faith in a World of Religious Diversity“. Besides very interesting Bible studies and theological lectures several workshops were offered. One of the workshops was led by Anna Seifullina (on the picture) who began her theology studies in our seminary, and recently got her masters degree in Reutlingen School of Theology. We are glad that Anna is now coming back to Estonia, and will be our new educational assistent. We welcome Anna wholeheartedly as a member of our team, and our hope is that in addition to the administrative work she will also begin with teaching soon.
On June 17, seven people graduated from the seminary (one is missing from the picture). We wish them blessings in their ministry!
Seminary now has the summer holidays until August 1.
We are inviting new students to the seminary – you can send your documents until August 20, 2016 at the address EMK Teoloogiline Seminar, Narva mnt 51, 10152 Tallinn..
President of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary Meeli Tankler celebrated her 60th birthday together with faculty and students, and presented the collection of her sermons under the title „Unfolding the Word“.
Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary is privileged to welcome in January 2016 the Bishop of UMC in Eurasia Eduard Khegay who teaches Pastoral Leadership course.
UMC in Estonia hosted School of Congregational Development for Nordic and Baltic countries with more than 350 participants from 9 countries in the end of September. We invited our seminary graduates (almost 30 Methodists from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland!) attending this conference to have lunch together. It was also a joy to see a whole group of our first year students serving at the conference as voluntary helpers; several students were in the worship team, and several just came to participate in the learning process of UMC.
